Job Description:
The successful applicant must be an excellent communicator, with the ability to relate well with patients, parents and team members. The applicant must have a genuinely caring nature, and the commitment to work as part of a motivated, talented professional team. Basic computer skills are essential for this role. You will have good dental experience and you will be responsible for some front office activities and in particular ensuring patient treatment is well co-ordinated and enjoyable.
Duties include:
All chairside duties both with a dentist and/or hygienist
Answering the telephone
Making appointments
Dealing with complaints
Working with the practice manager
Ensure other staff members in reception area carry out duties in satisfactory and professional manner
Printing and sending of treatment plans
Monitor follow up calls and act if appropriate
Keep waiting room tidy
Ensure patients are all confirmed for following day’s appointments
Rosters
Required to supervise, train and co-ordinate the work of casual employees
Continually assessing the appointment book to assure time is used effectively.
The successful candidate will have the following essential attributes:
Dental Assistant Experience
Well Presented
A good communicator
Career focused
Personally Stable
Honest and Efficient
Knowledge of Oasis or D4W software would be a plus
Certificate III in Dental Assisting preferred
